I decided to share this weeks panther report on social media!
Good day to everyone!!
The sun is shining and the weather has been absolutely amazing! I hope that each of you have found time to go outside and enjoy it.
As the world continues to change, administration and teachers have had discussions on how the school can adapt to meet the needs of all students. Within these discussions we have found common narratives such as the importance of reading, of being able to write/communicate, of understanding how governments work, of computer skills, of understanding science, and of basic math skills. Our students/children are much more distracted than many of us were in school due to phones, social media, and just more activities in general. This is not all bad but it is a true statement.
As we discuss how to adapt, I believe the factor that will most enhance the learning environment within our school is how administration, teachers, parents, guardians, and our entire community view the Value of Education. Is getting an education something that each of us does to just check off the list, or do we understand and portray to our youth that education is an opportunity for them to grow and to gain knowledge in a manner that allows them to be a lifelong learner and to have more options in the future? A high school education can lead directly to a great career or entrepreneurship, it can lead to Career and Tech Ed options such as welding, Precision Ag, or it can lead to a 4-year degree. As a leader within this school, I want students to understand the value of the knowledge they are gaining versus the grade they are receiving.
May we all "Find A Way" to instill into our youth, the Value of any and all Education!
Good luck to our Scholars Bowl Team this weekend competing at State and Good luck to Morgan Allan who is competing in Regional wrestling!
Have a great weekend! Go Chiefs!
