Dear Vermillion Families,
This afternoon, October 26, 2020, USD 380 was notified by the Nemaha County Health Department that a staff member who works at both Centralia and Frankfort Schools has tested positive for COVID-19. Per our established protocol, we have thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the spaces this individual was in contact with. We are also in contact with the Nemaha County Health Department and will take the steps necessary to protect the health of our staff and students.
The individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 will not be allowed to return to school for at least 10 days. There were no close contacts in the school involving this individual except for their own student. The quarantined student will be out for a minimum 14 days. Classes will resume tomorrow. We are closely monitoring this situation and will provide you with updates as we know more. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Matt Rogers at 785-382-6216 or rogersm@usd380.com.
Sincerely,
Matt Rogers
