Dear Vermillion Families,
To keep you informed about the latest confirmed cases of COVID 19 in either students or staff at USD 380 Vermillion Schools we will be sending out weekly Covid 19 updates. If the amount of information increases we will move to biweekly or daily.
As of today, November 13, 2020. Frankfort School has 13 students and 1 positive teacher and 2 classified staff quarantined. Centralia Schools has 50 students and staff quarantined, 5 positive students and 2 positive staff, one is shared. Vermillion School ECH has 9 quarantined students and 2 positive students.
As you can see, we have a large group of quarantines and cases, but a majority of them are due to household contacts or outside of the school contact. School is the safest place for our students. None of the active cases can be traced back to transmission at any USD 380 Vermillion facilities. The district will continue to wear masks correctly, practice proper hand sanitization and use social distance at school. The schools have disposable and cloth masks available if anyone should need any.
