On Saturday, the CHS Vocal Ensemble traveled to Branson and opened for The RE-Vibe show. They were able to get some performance tips and take in the show. On Sunday, they went to Silver Dollar City to enjoy the Christmas lights and rides before making the drive home on Monday. Way to go!

Good day to everyone.
I wanted to take this time to recognize our K-6 program for being ranked 81st in the USNews Best Elementary School rankings. According to the numbers our K-6 was ranked in the top 12% in the State of Kansas. Below is a link to the article that includes links. Our entire staff works extremely hard at educating our youth, but recognition such as this can only be attained with the help of the entire panther family. Thank you teachers, parents, and community for being engaged in the education of the students of Centralia Schools.

Congrats to Morgan Allen for being named a Kansas FBLA Service Member of the Month for November!

Through our 2024 Holiday Gift Assistance Program, we were able to assist 11 families and 34 children with gifts this holiday season. We also partnered with the Centralia Community Church and they provided household items and food boxes to these families as well. We are so grateful for the support of our community!

Go Panthers!

Student written paragraph about class activities in 8th Science-Today we experimented with how to find the speed of an object by measuring the distance it went. We were given time to create a structure to help our windup toys go farther in distance. We first had to measure our starting speed to help us figure out how to make it go faster. Then we discussed with our groups and started making our structures. My group's structure was a cardboard lid and whiteboards to make a slope and make it go faster and farther. Our starting distance was 45cm, and it went 100cm after our structures.

The minds were active yesterday in 2nd grade. Each group engineered different designs of elf traps! Anyone who is experiencing an elf infestation problem this Christmas season may contact the Centralia 2nd grade.

Wrestlers are at Onaga today starting at 9:00 am.
Good Luck!!
