This Monday, March 7th, we will be having our second USD 380 Robotics Night! The Frankfort RoboCats will be taking on the Centralia Steel Panthers in a VEX: Tipping Point Competition, with possible Valley Heights Robotics Students as guest competitors. The event will start around 6:30pm in the Frankfort Cafeteria and last about an hour. All spectators are encouraged and welcome. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Mr. Shearer.

Mr. Trevor Ashcraft is currently the USD380 Curriculum Director and Vermilion Principal, a role he has been in for 5 years. He earned his elementary education endorsement from West Texas A&M University, reading specialist endorsement from Ft. Hays State University and will earn his educational administration in May.
Ashcraft has established and facilitated Professional Learning Community meetings, assisted the board of education with creating and implementing a 5 year strategic plan, led the district’s accreditation team, and has been instrumental in the redesign of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.

Mrs. Shana Steinlage is currently the Marshall-Nemaha Educational Services Cooperative Director in Seneca, Kansas, a role she has been in since 2016. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from Emporia State University and went on to Iowa State University where she received her master's degree in educational administration.
Steinlage has dedicated the past 22 years to helping students achieve their goals. She has held a variety of positions within the school system, giving her a broad background and understanding of student support and teacher success.

Mr. Joel Bickford is currently the Secondary Principal at the Bottineau School District in Bottineau, North Dakota, a role he has been in since 2012. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history and physical education from Jamestown College and went on to the University of North Dakota where he received his master’s degree in educational leadership. Bickford is a 25-year member of the National Guard, serving as a Commander and Officer Strength Manager for 5 years.
Bickford has been involved in a successful building initiative, guiding school improvement teams, and a school-wide Title 1 determination process.
Bickford has been in educational leadership for 15 years. He currently speaks to organizations as a motivational speaker and writes columns for two newspapers.
Tonight, the Centralia Robotics Team will be competing against the Frankfort Robotics Team in a best of three VEX Robotics: Tipping Point Competition. The meet will take place in the Centralia Cafeteria at 6:30pm.

Via Zoom, we'll have paleontologist Greg Liggett for Dino Week at the Vermillion library. Tuesday the 27th of July at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Liggett is a former university professor, former museum director, and now works for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
The Grade School Supply List for both Frankfort and Centralia are up and located under the 'Resources' menu of each respective school website.
