The 2025 Nemaha County Christmas Bureau will be distributing gifts again this year! You must attend one of the application days in either Seneca or Sabetha, bring proof of income, and be a Nemaha County resident.

Wanted to give a shout out to a group of high school boys for attending the JH football game last night vs SPPS. Afterwards they had their normal photo session with them as well. These are the only ones I have but if you have others please send and I will share. I know other boys were there but I don't have pictures with them in it.

Mrs. Sara Kramer, who also coaches the high school cheer, puts on a Junior High clinic throughout the year. These young ladies did a great job cheering and doing stunts at tonight's JH Football game. Great job to all of them tonight!

Football at Thunder Field, NC Schools:
Kick off at 6:30. They will play a 5th Quarter.

Congratulations to the Panther volleyball team who placed fourth in the TVL league Volleyball Tournament today. Thank you to Onaga for hosting!

The Centralia High school Volleyball Team won their first Match verses Frankfort in the TVL tournament at Onaga. One game break then they play the winner of Linn and Onaga.

Centralia High School Volleyball competes in the TVL Tournament today in Onaga.
The girls come in ranked #3 and will take on the winner of Doniphan West & Frankfort.
Centralia's game is scheduled to start at 11:00 am, but will run ahead if possible.

This morning the SAFE Committee conducted their first seatbelt check of the year. SAFE (Seatbelts Are For Everyone) is a student-led program for high school students focusing on peer-to-peer promotion of traffic safety and is offered through the Kansas Traffic Safety Resource Office. The data collected today included whether the driver and passengers were belted or if the driver was distracted (texting, on the phone, or otherwise distracted). The data collected today will be shared with the students soon with the hope of improving our statistics by the end of the school year.

Book Fair Week is just around the corner! Come find new favorite books to read over and over again! The Book Fair will be open October 13-October 17 from 7:45am-4:00pm with extended hours on Wednesday during Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Mrs. Bergman's class enjoyed the beautiful crisp fall morning with a walk to Haverkamp's grocery store to collect data for their "Unit Rates" project. The students compared similar products and calculated the unit prices, found the better buy and then calculated how much 25 units would cost. Thanks to Haverkamp Grocery for always accommodating us!!

Thank you the Paint crew for helping me put up the new flagpole at the football field that was recently purchased by the booster club! Mark Haverkamp, Josh Tanking, Brent Domann, Jason Puvogel, Drew Gibbs and Matt Talley.

Staff and parents, Friday night's FB game vs Horton has been cancelled, due to low numbers for Horton. Mr. Holthaus will continue to look for a game for Friday night, but he said it will be highly unlikely to find a game at this time.

Centralia Seniors participated in the Kansas Apply Free Days today! They spent the afternoon applying for colleges and filling out scholarships.

Centralia High School Volleyball has their last regular season home game tonight.
They host a Triangular with Axtell & Onaga and will be celebrating Senior Night for the Volleyball players.
