Although this is a day late and the internet didn’t work most of the day at school, I wanted to take time to thank our custodial staff-Peggy, Matt, and Darlene -for the hard work they do for our youth. Their work doesn’t go unnoticed and are a great asset to Centralia Schools!
As posted last Friday, we had "Time to Shine" day with the boosters buying T-shirts for all students and staff. Here are a few of our drone pictures from Friday. We have some great video of kids dancing and forming a train but I am unable to get it uploaded at this time.
Great day for our cross country teams-. Girls Team placed 3rd. Race placed in Top 25!
More pictures from today’s dance pre-k through 12 dance party . Watching them play leap frog as the little ones tried to get over the older kids was an absolute treat. This interaction is not found at all schools. We feel that our K-12 building is truly a blessing!
Variety day-Mr. Conley had a great enrichment lesson using music- “Life Songs”. Alice Cooper made the board with some good reflection! Mrs Hasenkamp and the 6th grade exercising-Left my IPad with a few seniors who took some selfies- a few teachers having fun at our Dance Party!
Thank you to Janel Huninghake for taking Mrs. McKee 4th grade class through the Museum and City Hall. She did a great job of explaining her duties as the City Clerk and how the City Council works. This event reinforces the material they are discussing in class.
Homecoming week ends with students tailgating on the west side of the school. Students have been engaged and a great joy to be around. Hats off to our entire staff for coming together to get inside classes and outside activities covered. We have a great team! Go Panthers!

I had the honor of taking part in grandparents day at our pre-K building. Little rusty with the coloring skills but I had a great time trying with the granddaughter. Thanks to all the pre-K staff for all the hard work they do with our young ones.
Due to multiple events tomorrow evening, the Kid Cheer Camp time has been changed. It will now run from 6-7 p.m on Wednesday, September 14th. If you need to pick up your child before 7 in order to make your schedule work better, please do so!
Mrs Ahlvers and the high school cheerleaders are working hard this afternoon at their Kid Cheer Clinic. They have had a great turn out and appreciate the support from our parents and community.
First home game of the season. Riggings Family Field looks absolutely amazing due to a group of Centralia School Dads and Patrons. Detailed planning and a lot of time=Top Notch End Zones and Panther Head! So many people are involved in creating a great environment for our youth.
I was able to get in some classrooms on Thursday but just finally getting these out to you. Engagement was evident, clear objectives were front and center, and I even found some good music in one classroom! The staff and I are very proud of the students and their work ethic!
Reminder: The Circus is in town tonight. Elementary students enjoyed watching them construct the tent and seeing the different circus animals. Their shows are at 5:00pm and 7:30pm tonight. If you haven’t purchased tickets, they are available at the gate.

Congratulations to the Cross Country Team today on a great start to their season. I do not know all the official results, but I do know we had some athletes who placed very high in the ranks! Awesome job to Mr. Crowthers and his team!!!!
