I had the honor of taking part in grandparents day at our pre-K building. Little rusty with the coloring skills but I had a great time trying with the granddaughter. Thanks to all the pre-K staff for all the hard work they do with our young ones.

I was able to get in some classrooms on Thursday but just finally getting these out to you. Engagement was evident, clear objectives were front and center, and I even found some good music in one classroom! The staff and I are very proud of the students and their work ethic!

Dear Patrons, Vermillion is reworking the water lines in town. The water has been an issue for our PreK building more than once so far. Today we were without water. We were able to remedy the situation and continue on. Admittedly it is a small distraction but not a show stopper. We have a temporary solution. The city is working feverishly to get things working again. Sometimes we need to be able to deal with adversity and this may be a great lesson for us. Joel Bickford
